How does Apex Subscribe work?

Book an Apex Subscribe car for 28 days and get our guaranteed lowest rate available. After the initial 28 day period, you can easily extend for another 14 or 28 days.

At the end of an Apex Subscribe booking, you can switch vehicles for a subsequent 28 day period.

Payments are made in advance to an accepted credit card, with all charges being made to the same credit card.

Optional extras (e.g. GPS, Child Safety Seats etc.), excess kilometres, fuel, fines, tolls, roadside assistance charges for non-mechanical callouts, and applicable damage costs may be charged separately.

How long is an Apex Subscribe booking period?

Apex Subscribe provides quick and easy access to late model vehicles and removes the hassle of vehicle registration and motor vehicle insurance. In addition, you get free vehicle servicing, so your car is always ready to go.

Getting a loan is not a simple process. You will need to complete application forms and accept the credit terms, pay interest on the money you borrow, and potentially take out additional insurance. You will also be locked in for a fixed term and have a depreciating asset value.

How does Apex Subscribe compare to a lease?

The term of a car lease typically locks you in for up to four years and depending on the structure, you still have to pay for maintenance of the vehicle. They typically include low kilometre limits and heavy reconditioning charges at the end of the lease. Vehicle leases may also have large penalties for breaking the contract or early returns.

What types of cars are available?

In New Zealand, you can choose from a compact Toyota Corolla, the larger Toyota Camry sedan, the popular Toyota RAV4, or the large Toyota Highlander SUV.

In Australia, the vehicles may differ by state or location. The choices are the versatile Kia Cerato / Hyundai i30 for small compact cars, a Toyota Corolla or Hyundai Elantra intermediate size sedan, or a Hyundai Tucson / Mitsubishi Outlander / Toyota RAV4 in the SUV class.

How much does an Apex Subscribe car cost?

The costs depends on which Apex Subscribe car you choose. All cars include standard motor vehicle insurance, regularly servicing, vehicle registration and certificate of fitness.

What is the minimum subscription period?

The minimum Apex Subscribe plan is 28 days.

Do I need to save for a deposit?

No deposit required. When you sign up with Apex Subscribe, you just pay a 28-day subscription for the car.

What is included with Apex Subscribe?

Apex Subscribe provides you with a late model vehicle, standard motor vehicle insurance, vehicle registration, certificate of fitness, regular servicing and maintenance, and roadside assistance for mechanical breakdowns.

Is insurance included?

Apex Subscribe includes standard motor vehicle insurance coverage for all approved drivers, with a $500 excess liability.

How much do I pay and when?

Apex Subscribe is a four weekly recurring subscription fee charged to your credit card in advance. After the initial 28-day period, you can easily extend for another 14 or 28 day period.

Who can join Apex Subscribe?

To be eligible to join Apex Subscribe in New Zealand, you must be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident of New Zealand, be over 21 years of age, have a full drivers licence and a valid credit card.

To be eligible to join Apex Subscribe in Australia, you must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia, be over 21 years of age, have a full drivers licence and a valid credit card.

How many free kilometres are included?

You get 1,000kms per week, or 4,000 kilometres over a 28-day subscription period.

What information do I need to provide?

In New Zealand, you will need to provide basic personal information and upload a copy of your driver licence and/or your passport to confirm your identity.

In Australia, you will need to provide basic personal information and upload a copy of your driver licence and your passport or Medicare card to confirm your identity.

To confirm your Apex Subscribe rental you will need to consent to a credit check.

Will Apex run a credit check on me before my application is approved?

Yes, Apex will need to run a credit check prior to confirming your booking request. At the same time we will also confirm that your driver licence is valid.
