Apex Car Rentals is calling on the public to assist with the direction of the next instalment of their hugely popular Kiwi Reconnection television commercial.
Following the significant public interest in the current Kiwi Reconnection advert - where a busy Tokyo-based businesswoman flies home to New Zealand to reconnect with her Kiwi roots - Apex Marketing Director Ricki Shaw has revealed plans to take viewers’ ideas into consideration for how the next advert should play out.
"We are not only still receiving great feedback on how much everybody loves the ad, but we’re also starting to get some great suggestions on where to take the storyline next," said Mr Shaw.
"In response to this, we have completely re-designed our YouTube channel page (http://www.youtube.com/apexrentals ) to make it easier for the online community to engage with the Apex brand, click through to our website, and tell us their thoughts and ideas on how we should continue the ‘Kiwi Reconnection’ storyline."
Since its television debut on October 4, 2010 the Apex Kiwi Reconnections advert has been seen by 89% of its target demographic and has been viewed over 4,000 times on YouTube. Mr Shaw says the ad is receiving 500 new YouTube views every day.
"The current advert deliberately leaves the story open for script development, which has proven very inviting for viewers," said Mr Shaw.
"We welcome all suggestions on where to take storyline next."
As well as via the YouTube channel, viewers can submit their ideas for the next advert by visiting http://www.apexrentals.co.nz/apex-tvc-feedback.aspx and using the submission form.
