We phoned Apex from Auckland Airport and a shuttle minibus arrived within minutes to take us to the offices. There we collected our car for three weeks, was in very good condition and was only a year old. We were offered the chance to buy the fuel in the car for 20% less than the price in the local petrol station. We took up the offer and could then return the car without refilling. I would highly recommend Apex. They organised the Interislander ferry for us and gave us a voucher so that we did not have to pay for the car. The service was great, when we returned the car to Christchurch again a shuttle was provided to the airport. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, giving us plenty of maps and advice. Great service and price, highly recommended!

Apex have probably the most positive rating of any New Zealand car rental company by TA members. They are my company of choice too Laura. They started up in Aussie nearly a year ago now and we are going to try out their Brisbane operation when we cross the ditch in June. If they run their Aussie operation like their kiwi one they will be a force to be reckoned with on the West Island.
